Spanish rider Tino Torres passed away
Today it is a sad day for the Spanish equestrian sport. Our rider and friend Tino Torres has passed away after several years of brave battle against a tremendous disease. Those who have been lucky knowing him as rider and teacher, as a friend, will always remember his great entirety and courage. His fighter and competitor spirit which has been a constant in his life. CSIO Barcelona, extends its deepest sympathy to his wife Mimi and daughters Ana and Maya. RIP
EINA’s students present their “Jump for Barcelona” projects
The second-year students of Eina Barcelona Design School presented their projects for “A Jump for Barcelona” design contest in the RCPB. The winning project will be part of the CSIO Barcelona 2018 courses. The objective of the action, under way for several years, is to continue strengthening the existing link between the centenary sport competition and our city.
Conrad Roset presents the illustration of the new CSIO Barcelona 2018 poster
This morning, in the Reial Cercle Artistic of Barcelona, the presentation of the work that will illustrate the new poster of the 107th CSIO Barcelona, the oldest international sport competition of Spain, has taken place. After several decades during which the illustration of the poster was created from a photography, CSIO Barcelona decided to collaborate again with an artist for this project. For this edition, CSIO Barcelona counted on Conrad Roset a young Catalan illustrator.
The improvements on the warm up arena have finished
After more than one month of work, the sporting facilities of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona have been completed with the transformation of the warm up arena of the Olympic jumping arena. The old arena has now adopted a new look and turned into a Klauss Dammann “all weather”.

Next Wednesday, May 16th at 12.30pm, in the Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona the Presentation of the Poster Illustration of the 107th edition of the International Jumping Competition, CSIO Barcelona- Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final will take place.
Massana displays the “Jump for the City”
Under the title Èxit. Centrifugacions I, Escola Massana will put on a series of exhibitions from April 12 to May 30 showcasing its students’ best projects. The common thread of this first exhibition is the intersectionality and diversity of the proposals that come from the different curriculums. Standing out among these pieces will be the winning obstacle from the third “Jump for the City” contest, in which students had to design a jump for the most prestigious international equestrian competition in the world: CSIO Barcelona. The winning students were inspired by the Eixample district to create their design. The jump, a wall, incorporates a map of this district, divided by the Gran Vía.
United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, classified for the Barcelona Final
New Zealand won the first leg of the new 13-round series of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup in Abu Dhabi, after winning the jump-off against Ireland.
The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia achieved the passport to the Final of Barcelona. Both teams shared the fourth position, totalizing 24 points each one, earned qualifying spots for the Final in Barcelona next October.
The Longines FEI Jumping Nations CupTM 2018 presents innovations
The countdown to the prestigious Longines FEI Jumping Nations CupTM is about to start with the celebration of Abu Dhabi (EAU) and Ocala (USA) CSIOs the following 17 and 18 of February.
Several innovations will make the Longines FEI Jumping Nations CupTM very special this year, with its 13 qualifiers on three continents - full calendar. The 18 best teams will compete at the Barcelona Final held form October 4th to 7th at the Real Club de Polo.
The IV Designe Contest " A Jump for the City " starts
This morning the IV Design Contest " A Jump for the City " has been presented at the Art and Desing University, EINA. During the next two months the third grade pupils of this university center will take part in the creation and design of the new obstacle that will form a part of the 107 edition of the CSIO Barcelona courses. The winner will be announced at the end of April.
CSIO Barcelona 2017, 106th edition, concludes successfully
CSIO Barcelona, the equestrian engagement of the year and Spain’s oldest international sporting event, concluded its 106th edition last Sunday. 17 participating nations, 85 riders, and 150 horses competed in a total of 8 events valued at 2 million euros. These are just a few of the figures summing up the jumping competition that took place between September 28 and October 1 at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona (RCPB).
