Longines is to become the title partner of the FEI Nations CupTM Jumping series as part of a historic agreement signed with the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) during the European Championships in Gothenburg. And the Swiss watchmaker's celebrations over the new deal will coincide with the World Final, which is being held as part of the CSIO Barcelona event at the Real Club de Barcelona from September 28th to October 1st.

Under the new agreement, Longines, which became the Official Top Partner of the FEI in 2013, has extended its global partnership, ensuring the success of the FEI Nations CupTM Jumping series for the next five years. September's final will be renamed the “Longines FEI Nations CupTM Jumping Final”, while the series will be called “Longines FEI Nations CupTM Jumping”.

The new deal will see Longines continue its role as the FEI's Top Partner and the Title Partner of the FEI World CupTM Jumping Western European League, as well as the FEI's Official Timekeeper and Official Watch, and Official Timekeeper of the FEI World Equestrian Games.

“This new agreement with Longines is the most important in the history of the FEI, maybe even in the history of equestrian sport”, FEI President Ingmar De Vos said. “Not only does it ensure the long-term future of our foremost team competition, the Nations Cup, it also provides the entire sport with an unprecedented level of support. ”

And Juan-Carlos Capelli, Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing added: “We would like to thank the President of the FEI, Mr Ingmar de Vos, and his team for having made this new agreement possible. We are already looking forward to the Grand Final in Barcelona.”
