This morning the Tibidabo amusement park received a curious visitor. This is Coralius, a fiber glass horse which is the protagonist of the third edition of the #bcnalgalop action organized by the Barcelona Equestrian Challenge (BECH).
While awaiting the arrival of CSIO Barcelona, the equestrian competition of the year, this friendly horse, decorated and painted by children from Sant Joan Baptista School in the Barceloneta, will make a tour through Barcelona most emblematic places. Children created Coralius taking inspiration from sea’s colors and forms, making Coralius a symbol of the richness of the marine biodiversity. The objective is to remember us how important preservation of oceans is. This sustainable message is even more relevant in summer, period in which sea suffers from pollution due to tourism.
Tibidabo is only the first step of Coralius’ trip. There it will have a unique view on the city, will be able to enjoy the famous attractions such as the Atalaya Airplane, enjoy the view from the ferry wheel, or go for a ride on the carroussel with its friends. Coralius will stay in Tibidabo until July the 15th. During these weeks, a contest will start: every person posting on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #bcnalgalop a picture with Coralius may win tickets for CSIO Barcelona 2018. CSIO Barcelona will take place from the October 4th to 7th in the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. Cornalius’s trip will continue in July with a stop in the Olympic Museum (July 16th to 22nd) and in L’Illa Diagonal shopping center (July 23rd - 30th). In September it will visit the Jardinets of the Palau Robert (from September 3rd to 9th) before ending its trip in the CSIO Barcelona.
