With the end of the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, closed by the amazing victory on home soil of the United States’ team, and the historical victory of the young German rider Simone Blum in the individual competition, the count down for CSIO Barcelona is now on.
Only 10 days away from the world’s most important team competition, the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona’s facilities are ready to welcome some of the best horses and riders of the moment.
Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, United Arab Emirates, United States, Great Britain, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden and Spain as the hosting team, will compete in the sixth Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup CupTM Final.
United States current world champion, Sweden and Germany respectively silver and bronze medal, will compete in Barcelona and try to wrest the title from Netherlands, league winner in 2017. Everything indicates that the biggest international equestrian’s potencies will arrive to Barcelona with their best riders.
The competition will begin on Friday, October 5th with the first qualifying round, the best eight teams will directly pass to the final on Sunday, October 7th, whereas the other 10 teams will compete in the Longines Challenge Cup on Saturday, October 6th.
Besides of the team world final competition, the CSIO Barcelona will also host three other individual competitions including the prestigious Queen’s Cup- Segura - Viudas Trophy which celebrates this year its 40th edition.
