CSIO Barcelona 2023 poster comes to life with urban art by Fert.one

With a striking live painting that took place throughout the morning in the center of our city, CSIO Barcelona, the world's most important international team jumping competition, wanted to kick off its communication campaign. In this original way, Plaza Universidad witnessed the unveiling of the official poster of CSIO Barcelona 2023, in collaboration with the talented Catalan urban artist Fert.one.

For several years now, CSIO Barcelona has maintained the tradition of promoting the talent of young Catalan artists for the design of their promotional poster, and this time, Fert.one, renowned for his unique style that combines realism, words, and abstract forms with vibrant colors inspired by the aesthetics of graffiti, was chosen.

The event started in the morning, and from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Fert.one showcased his creativity on a large canvas, turning Plaza Universidad into a lively and colorful stage. The live painting offered spectators a unique opportunity to witness Fert.one's creative process live, as the magic of art merged with the passion for showjumping.

At 1:00 pm, the final result of the poster was presented. The event was attended by Curro Espinós, president of RCPB, Emilio Zegrí, president of the RCPB Foundation, as well as authorities such as David Escudé, Sports Councilor of the Barcelona City Council and Sports Deputy Delegate of the Barcelona Provincial Council, and Alèix Vilatoro, director of the Catalan Sports Council, among others. Representatives of CSIO Barcelona, which will take place at the Olympic track of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona from September 28th to October 1st, were also present.

Emilio Zegrí, president of the Real Club de Barcelona Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Fert.one and said, "We are delighted to have had the talent of Fert.one for the design of the official poster of CSIO Barcelona 2023. His creativity and unique style give a very personal character to this internationally renowned event, which will be admired by the millions of fans who follow it. Equestrian sports and Barcelona are very present."

"With this poster that we have just unveiled, once again CSIO Barcelona surprises us with its commitment to combining sports and design, two aspects that characterize our city. We are confident that this Catalan artist's groundbreaking creation will capture the attention not only of the local audience but also of horse riding enthusiasts from around the world," added David Escudé, the Sports Councilor.

Alèix Villatoro, director of the Catalan Sports Council, stated that CSIO Barcelona, "as a top-level international event, demonstrates the organizational excellence of the Catalan sports community" and highlighted the connection of the competition "with the traditions of Catalan culture and Barcelona." "All of this strengthens sports, clubs, and Catalonia as a sports country," he concluded.

For Fert.one, "the world of horses is a fundamental part of my story. I was born and literally grew up among horses' hooves, and they are currently a fundamental part of my work. Personally, working on this piece for CSIO Barcelona represents looking back at my childhood and an opportunity to continue enjoying and delving deeper into the equestrian theme."
