This morning, the Tibidabo Amusement Park received a very special visitor. It is "El Cor del Món," the fiberglass horse that stars in the seventh edition of the #bcnalgalop campaign by the Barcelona Equestrian Challenge (BECH) with the support of the RCPB Foundation. This friendly horse will tour some of the most emblematic places in the city this summer, awaiting the arrival of the CSIO Barcelona, the equestrian competition of the year, at the end of September.
"El Cor del Món" is an extraordinary horse that has emerged from the imagination and creativity of the children of the Josep Pla Special Education Center (CEE). This special horse has been lovingly and carefully designed in this unique school, where all its students share a special characteristic: they are deaf and communicate through Catalan Sign Language (LSC).
"El Cor del Món" embodies the magic of life and the importance of caring for our natural environment. Its turquoise color represents the deaf community, and each of its legs, from which strong trees sprout and culminate in green and shiny leaves, symbolizes the hands of the students who communicate in LSC. Its bright yellow mane represents the sun, and its tail flows like a river's water.
This magical horse wishes to pay tribute to the Earth and Nature, reminding us of the importance of valuing the small things that we often forget: the earth, water, sun, and air. On its body, we find symbols of sustainability such as bicycles, water droplets, and leaves of different shades of green.
On its forehead, we discover the sign that identifies the Josep Pla CEE, and on the pole, we find the name written in finger-spelling. "El Cor del Món" is a horse full of symbolism, ready to tour Barcelona to remind us that Nature is magical and that we must take care of it, as our health and well-being depend on it.
Join "El Cor del Món" on its journey through Barcelona and be inspired by its message of respect and love for Nature. Don't miss the opportunity to take a photo with this magnificent horse and share your image on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #bcnalgalop to participate in the draw for tickets to the CSIO Barcelona!

The students of the Josep Pla CEE, like many other schools in our city, have participated this year in the "Cavall i Esport" activity organized by the BECH (Barcelona Equestrian Challenge) in collaboration with the IBE (Barcelona Sports Institute), which allows them to enjoy a free horse riding class during school hours at the School of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. This activity is open to all schools in the city.
