The 111th CSIO Barcelona concluded this afternoon with Germany's team emerging victorious in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final, the most important team equestrian competition on the international calendar. Comprising Jana Wargers (Dorette), Christian Kukuk (Checker 47), Hans-Dieter Dreher (Elysium), and Richard Vogel (United Touch S), the German team achieved victory thanks to the three faultless rounds by Christian Kukuk, Hans-Dieter Dreher, and Richard Vogel. Thus, Germany secures its second Longines Nations Cup at the Olympic arena of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, following their victory in 2016.
In second place was the team from France with eight points, followed by Belgium, Brazil (earning the Olympic spot at stake for the 2024 Paris Olympics), the United States, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Ireland. Additionally, the German Hans-Dieter Dreher, the Swiss Martin Fuchs, and the Belgian Wilm Vermeir will share the 100,000 euro prize for completing both today's round and the qualifying event last Thursday without any faults.
